Today was a very sad day for New York Giants cornerback Bruce Johnson after he suffered a rupture Achilles tendon during practice.
The 23 year old corner will now have to undergo an extremely difficult recovery process in order to be ready for next season since he will not miss the entire 2011 season. Once an athlete tears an Achilles, they typically aren’t the same as they were before the injury.
The good news for the Giants is that rookie Prince Amukamara has finally signed his rookie contract. So as they lose one cornerback for the season, they gain another one.
