New York Giants linebacker/defensive end Mathias Kiwanuka truly believes the Giants have the ability to repeat next season.
“If we won it this year, there’s no doubt in my mind that we can,” said Kiwanuka. “We’ve just got to get in the playoffs. That’s it.”
Kiwanuka and the Giants know what it’s like to win a Super Bowl and then have a let down the following season.
“The big thing for us is to get one next year,” Kiwanuka said. “We had a great season a couple years ago, and we had a letdown the year after. We’ve got to make sure that doesn’t happen again.”
Wide receiver Hakeem Nicks believes the Giants can only get better.
“I feel like the sky’s the limit for this organization and our team,” said Nicks. “I feel like we can be at this level for a long time.”
Defensive tackle Linval Joseph doesn’t feel like the Giants have even played they’re best game yet.
“Actually we won the game, but I still don’t feel like we played our best game yet this whole season,” defensive tackle Linval Joseph said. “I feel like next year is going to be a good year. Just everybody stays focused and everybody stays hungry, and I think we should have a good season next year, too.”
The one thing that could keep the Giants from repeating in 2012, is the fact that the they have a lot of players that will become free agents during the offseason.
