Free Agent linebacker Gary Brackett, has been cleared by medical personnel to resume his playing career, Pat Kirwin from CBS Sports reported via Twitter this week.
Brackett was released on March 9th by the Indianapolis Colts after playing there for nine seasons, after a shoulder injury sidelined him for most of the 2011 season.
Interest in signing Brackett has been all but nonexistent but is expected to pick up now that he has been cleared. But he is 32, has had a serious injury, and is currently much smaller than many of the Linebackers out there right now so only time will tell if any team comes calling.
