Free agent Corey McIntyre arrested for battery

According to WPTV.com, former Bills fullback Brian McIntyre was arrested and charged on Wednesday with misdemeanor battery in Port St. Lucie, Florida.

McIntyre, 34, of the 100 block of Southwest Hidden Cove Way, was charged by Port St. Lucie police after they interviewed him and a woman at his home about 12:30 a.m. Wednesday. McIntyre has played for the Buffalo Bills the last few years but is a free agent.

The misdemeanor charge comes just three days before McIntyre was scheduled for a celebrity softball game at Tradition Field in Port St. Lucie. His foundation and the Van Duzer Foundation had teamed up for the event, which organizers announced Wednesday afternoon had been canceled and was not expected be rescheduled.

Event organizers could not be reached for comment Wednesday. Tickets already purchased will be refunded, they said in a statement that cited “unforeseen circumstances” for the cancelation.
