Former Jacksonville Jaguars running back Fred Taylor will officially retire as a Jaguar on Friday.
The Jaguars will be making cuts tomorrow which will allow them to sign Taylor to a one day contract and have retire with the team that drafted him back in 1998.
“I’ll attend @FredTaylorMade‘s retirement tomorrow. One of my favorite teammates ever & a great man! We love you Freddy T!” wrote kicker Josh Scobee via Twitter.
Taylor battled injuries throughout his career, but in the end persevered to have a great career.
Taylor played in Jacksonville for 11 seasons and is their all time leading rusher with 11,271 career yards. He also ranks third all time in receiving with 286 catches for 2,361 yards.
