Free agent tight end Fred Davis is visiting with the Buffalo Bills in Orchard Park, New York today after having dinner with head coach Dough Marrone down in Washington D.C. last weekend.
“I feel good right now,” said Davis on PFC radio Tuesday. “I’m only four and a half months out of my surgery and I’m already running and stuff so I already know what I’m going to be able to do this year. I will be back to 100 percent.”
The Bills likely took their time in conducting the player physical with Davis in light of his major surgery. Even Davis knows the chances of getting a contract offer will likely hinge on that physical exam.
“No offer yet,” Davis told PFC radio. “They want to see where I’m at and go from there.”
Buffalo is in need of a healthy tight end knowing they could be without starting tight end Scott Chandler come August after he underwent ACL knee surgery this offseason. He could possibly return in time for the regular season.
