San Francisco 49ers running back Frank Gore is starting to show some patience when it comes to getting a contract extension.
“These things take time,” said Gore. ”I’m looking at it like a normal day of meetings and practice. Hopefully they meet and positive things get done. If not, we’ll keep going.”
Yesterday Gore and his agent Drew Rosenhaus sat down with the 49ers front office to talk about getting a new contract worked out.
Gore stated that he isn’t angry right now, but he’s just hoping for a new deal to get done soon.
“I’m all right. They get to talk and hopefully things get done or get closer. That’s all I can wish for.”
Gore just has to realize he’s not going to get the kind of deal that DeAngelo Williams did with the Panthers since he has a lot of wear and tear and has been injury throughout his career. Not to mention he’s 28 years old and will begin declining soon.
