49ers running back Frank Gore has been preparing for the upcoming NFL season by boxing. HIs trainer says he has the power to knock some people out.
“You hear of fighters who don’t have knockout power?” trainer Brian Schwartz asks, per the San Francisco Chronicle. “If Frank was a fighter, he’d have knockout power. His punches are fast and snappy.”
With the addition of rookie Carlos Hyde and second-year back Marcus Lattimore making progress, Gore knows he’s going to have to work hard to keep his starting job. He did just turn 31 years-old. Most running backs hit a brick wall by now. Gore has to work his tail off if he wants to pro-long his career.
