Tennessee Titans cornerback Cortland Finnegan isn’t sure at this point whether or not he’ll be back in Nashville next season, since his contract is up and he’ll be an unrestricted free agent in March.
The Titans recently made some front office changes by promoting general manager Mike Reinfeldt to senior executive vice president and promoting Ruston Webster to general manager. Lake Dawson has replaced Webster as vice president of player personnel.
Finnegan hasn’t heard from the Titans since the end of season and isn’t sure what to think at this point.
“I hope it changes things, but I don’t know,” Finnegan said. “All those guys work closely together. You see all of them — Lake, Ruston and Mike — together all the time. So I don’t know that a lot will change. Mike Reinfeldt will still be on top of everything.
“I’m discouraged nothing has happened, but I am still in a holding pattern.”
The Titans have from now until March 13th to get a deal done before Finnegan becomes an unrestricted free agent, which means he can sign with any team he wants at that point.
