Fantasy Football: 5 key match-ups for this week, Presented by The League

Our Fantasy Football Preview of 5 Key Match-ups for Sunday, Brought to you by The League

1. Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers versus the New Orleans Saints defense.

If you have Aaron Rodgers on your fantasy football team, this is certainly the week to start him.  He struggled a bit on Monday night against a tough Seahawks defense.  But this Sunday when he faces off against the Saints 25th ranked passing defense, he should have a field day.

On the flip side if you have the Saints defense, either bench them or get rid of them.

2.Washington Redskins running back Alfred Morris versus the Tampa Bay Buccaneers defense.

You may want to bench Morris this week, since the Bucs are coming in with the top ranked rushing defense in the NFL.  They also have the leagues worst pass defense and the 26th ranked overall defense.

If you have better options in your back field I’d go with them over Morris at this point.

So while I would bench Morris, I also wouldn’t start the Bucs defense in this situation either because of how poor they are overall.

3. Chicago Bears wide receiver Brandon Marshall versus the Dallas Cowboys defense.

The Cowboys bolster the second ranked passing defense this season and I can’t imagine Marshall having a good game.  With Mike Jenkins, Brandon Carr and Morris Claiborne, the Bears are in trouble.

I would start the Cowboys deffense against the Bears because of how interception prone Jay Cutler is, especially when he faces pressure.

Bonus: Bench Cutler this week.

4. Houston Texans running back Arian Foster versus the Tennessee Titans defense.

Arian Foster should run all over the Titans 29th ranked run defense.

The Titans also have the 30th ranked pass defense. I would waive them and pick another defense up.

It’s safe to say that starting Matt Schaub, Arian Foster and Andre Johnson would be very wise move this week.

5. Denver Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning versus the Oakland Raiders defense.

The Raider defense was torched last week by Ben Roethlisberger and the Steelers and I believe this week Peyton Manning and the Broncos will have the same success.

The Raiders’ defense is another one that I wouldn’t even bother having on my team.
