Ex-Jaguar teammate asked MJD for $200K in exchange for the No. 21

Back when Maurice Jones-Drew was with the Jaguars,  he asked cornerback Terry Cousin who wore the number 21, if he could have it.  MJD says he asked for the number, but Cousin’s demands were crazy.

“There was a guy by the name of Terry Cousin who had 21 in Jacksonville. I asked him politely, ‘Can you just allow me to have the number? It’s been in my family for a long time.’ He said, ‘For a small price.’ I’m thinking he’s going to say, like, dinner, going to say, like, a couple bucks. He said $200,000 and you can have it,” Jones-Drew recalled.

Now after a mediocre carer, Cousin is no longer in the NFL and MJD finally got his number with the Raiders.
