Every so often someone on Twitter will attempt to send a direct message to someone and instead it will post on their timeline. I know I’ve done it before, but I’ve never written anything shameful like Rich Cimini of ESPNNewYork.com.
Cimini posted a tweet and quickly deleted it. But it was too late a lot of people saw the tweet and posted it all over the web, according to The Big Lead.
Cimini did end up apologizing on Twitter, but it will be interesting to see if ESPN disciplines him.
I'd like to extend a sincere apology for an inappropriate tweet from earlier today. It was unprofessional and I regret it.
