Eric Weddle: “We got our butts kicked” by the Raiders

After last night’s 24-17 loss to the Oakland Raiders,  San Diego Chargers safety Eric Weddle is giving credit,  where credit is due.

“We played horrible today,” said Weddle. “Our performance wasn’t acceptable by any means. There was some bad, bad defense out there.  We got our butts kicked. There’s no way around it.”

The Raider pass rush was relentless and got after Chargers quarterback Philip Rivers all game.

“We smelled blood and just went after him,” said Raiders defensive end Richard Seymour.

The Chargers certainly have the talent to win,  but general manager A.J. Smith seems like he’s in denial about his main problem.  That problem is Norv Turner,  who’s never been good as a head coach in the NFL.

It’s time for the Chargers to move on and bring in a guy that can get the best out of their talented roster.
