As quarterback Tim Tebow has slowly changed the minds of his harshest critics one by one, it seems that executive vice president of football operations John Elway might be ready to go all in with him as his quarterback.
Just a few weeks ago, it was clear that Elway wasn’t prepared to hitch the Broncos wagon to Tebow. But now things seem to be changing.
“Tim Tebow’s not going anywhere,” Elway said in an interview with The Associated Press. “I mean, he’s going to be a Bronco and we’re going to do everything we can and hopefully he’s that guy.”
I get the feeling that Elway believes that Tebow can develop into a very effective scrambling quarterback.
When you look at what Tebow brings to the table, he’s got the ability to escape the pocket and make plays and he possesses the ability to throw the deep ball on the run. The only thing he needs to clean up is his accuracy, which will improve once he’s able to fix his mechanics.
