New York Giants quarterback Eli Manning believes that his brother Peyton will return to the Colts before the end of the season.
“Maybe he could be back this year,” Eli told USA Today. “I don’t know if that’s the smart thing under the circumstances, but I expect him to be back next year.”
So far Eli is encouraged by Peyton’s recovery.
“He’s always been a fast healer. He wants to be out there,” Eli said. “He’s being aggressive in his rehab and looking to get back on the field as soon as possible. He looks into every possibility, every opportunity, to get back as soon as possible.”
Even if Peyton gets back on the field this season, I highly doubt he’ll actually play in a game.
The only reason the Colts haven’t placed him on season ending injured reserve is because they would like to see him practice before the end of the season so they can evaluate the progress of his recovery.Follow PFZ on Twitter @ProFootballZone
