“Good to get some one-on-one time here,” Manning said, via the NY Daily News.
Manning threw balls with Beckham running a series of routes Thursday evening, going over concepts and signals from the Giants’ new offense under first-time coordinator Ben McAdoo. He also sat with Beckham in a golf cart after the workout, and reminded the rookie of his shortcoming. As the third graduate of Isidore Newman to be selected in the first round of the NFL draft, Beckham brought down the previous point of pride that both Eli and Peyton Manning were selected with the No. 1 overall pick. The Giants chose Beckham with the No. 12 pick.
