Giants quarterback Eli Manning told reporters on Tuesday that he expects to be ready for training camp as he recovers from ankle surgery.
“I think I’m safe to say I’ll be 100 percent by the start of training camp,” Manning said, via ESPN.com. “I would hope so.”
Manning is focused on getting healthy right now as well as learning the playbook of new offensive coordinator Ben McAdoo.
“My No. 1 concern is getting back healthy,” Manning said. “No. 2 is learning the playbook.”
I can’t imagine that Eli is going to be on the same page with the Giants offense when he’s healthy enough to get back on the field. It’s going to take some extra time now that he’s sidelined.
