Despite a 0-5 start to this season, New York Giants quarterback Eli Manning still believes his team can make the playoffs.
“Yeah because (the division is) wide open and obviously we’re two games back right now,” he said per Newsday. “Obviously we’ve got to play better football and do those things, but we still feel that we can get hot.”
“You never know,” Manning said of how things work out. “You never know in this situation, but this is the situation we’re in. We’ve got to play through it and just do whatever it takes.”
With 11 games to go in the season and four of those within the NFC East, there’s a chance the Giants can make a run if they’re able to magically fix the problems they currently have.
But at the end of the day, I wouldn’t hold my breathe. The Giants need to find their running game, an offensive line that can block and a defense that can provide a pass rush.
