Despite a rough game against the Giants last week, the Packers will keep feeding rookie running back Eddie Lacy.
Running backs coach Alex Van Pelt did say they would like to get James Starks and Jonathan Franklin more involved if they can, but Lacy will get the bulk of the carries.
Ideally, “if you can do the perfect math,” Van Pelt said, Lacy would handle 20 carries, Starks five and Franklin five. It depends on the situation. If the game is on the line, Lacy “will be the one carrying the ball.”
As good as Franklin and Starks have been at time, lacy has been even better. He’s led the league in rushing since coming back from an early season concussion.
