Moments ago Baltimore Ravens safety Ed Reed isn’t sure whether or not he’ll play in 2012. He also mentioned that playing another four to five more years was a “reality” two months ago, but it doesn’t seem like that’s the case right now. It looks like Reed is looking for a new contract, since his current deal is scheduled to run out after this season. He’s set to make $7.2 million in 2012.
With all of the injuries that Reed has battled through in his career, I wonder if the Ravens will be able to offer him the kind of money he’s looking for in his next contract. They may not value you as highly as they once did, since he’ll be 34 years-old this season and his body has been clearly breaking down slowly.
