According to New York Jets safety Eric Smith, the Philadelphia Eagles were able to easily figure out what pass coverage the Jets were in on each play during Sunday’s 45-19 loss.
The Jets are typically good at disguising their coverages, but the Eagles receivers were able to figure them out and yell them out throughout the game to each other as well as quarterback Michael Vick .
“They’d line up, look at us, look at Vick, and (say), ‘Oh, they’re in Cover Zero’ or ‘They’re in Cover One,’” Smith said. “They did a good job of studying, a good job of preparing for the game.”
It seems to me like the Jets got out coached in the week leading up to Sunday’s loss to the Eagles. There’s no reason why the Eagles shouldn’ve been able to dissect the Jets defense so well.Follow PFZ on Twitter @ProFootballZone
