According to NFL.com, during a news conference Philadelphia Eagles owner Jeffrey Lurie said that a record of “8-8 would not” be enough to save head coach Andy Reid’s job at the end of the season.
“We need substantial improvement,” Lurie said. “We have a very good team on paper.”
The Ealges have a lot of talent on paper. Now it’s time for them to put it together on the field. The problem is that their season may hinge on quarterback Michael Vick, who’s already been hit with the injury bug twice this preseason.
