Eagles have been winning ugly

It was ugly but the Philadelphia Eagles got the job done for the second week in a row.  It’s hard to believe they are now 2-0, winning by a combined total of 2 points over the first two weeks of the season.  They have had nine turnovers in their first two games.  That many normally doesn’t translate into wins.  The ugly truth here is that the Eagles know they cannot expect to keep winning or even compete for a divisional title unless they limit the number of turnovers.

The Redskins, Cowboys and Giants are all thinking the same thing right about now – we might be in trouble if Philly gets their act together.  Is it too early to look back to Michael Vick’s statement of a Dynasty?  Their divisional rivals are hoping that the statement wasn’t prophetic but just wishful thinking.

They are now 2-0 for the first time since the 2003-2004 season.  A victory is a victory and I don’t care how ugly it is.  As long as there’s a tick in the Win Column, Philly will take it.  Remember that in the story of the Ugly Duckling, the little chick becomes the most beautiful swan.  Could this be that magical season?  Those ugly wins could result in the most beautiful result – the Lombardi Trophy.
