After Frank Gore’s interview with ESPN’s “First Take” yesterday, several Philadelphia Eagles players have come out and denied that they gave during last week’s loss to the San Francisco 49ers.
“I don’t think the team quit,” said Eagles quarterback Michael Vick. “I think we put up the effort for all four quarters. I don’t know, maybe, I mean he can say that but we can’t dwell on last week, it’s over.”
Eagles defensive end Jason Babin also didn’t agree with Gore’s comments, but he also didn’t have much to back up his opinion.
“We don’t need some guy on the West Coast to motivate us,” Babin said. “Is he No. 21 or 24? I forget. Because No. 24 was an ugly looking kid.”
In case you didn’t know, number 24 is running back Anthony Dixon.
If I were the Eagles, I’d be worried about not losing a third straight game this week, rather then denying someone else’s opinion.
