Seahawks wide receiver Doug Baldwin hasn’t signed his restricted free agent tender yet.
Baldwin can freely sign with another team right now and the Seahawks would have five days to match or else they would lose him, but receive a second round pick in return. He told the Seattle Times that he hasn’t spoken with any teams.
If Baldwin is going to sign elsewhere it has to happen prior to the May 2nd deadline.
He does remain hopeful that he’ll get a long-term contract from the Seahawks.
“I would say that if it’s a possibility, we are going to try to,” he said. “Hopefully something gets hashed out beforehand.” But he also said he was reluctant to talk much about it because “it deals with a lot of things, a lot of moving parts.”
