Dolphins release a statement regarding Mike Wallace’s gay comments

dolphinsThe Miami Dolphins have released a statement after wide receiver Mike Wallace posted a message earlier today on Twitter saying that he didn’t understand gay people.

“Mike Wallace has apologized for his comments, and we have addressed the matter with him. Mike’s comments do not reflect the views of the Miami Dolphins. We believe in a culture of inclusiveness and respect, and any statements to the contrary are in no way acceptable to our organization. We will address the entire team about our policy of inclusion and make sure they all understand the importance of respecting individual choices.”

Wowsers, “SMH” I really don’t understand the league at times, I swear!!! Mike Wallace shouldn’t have had to apologize for anything, he didn’t do anything wrong.. I mean really, if the gay community can come out, speak about their views, desires and rights well then damn, why can’t the rest of Americans??? We have the same freedom of speech that they have and the same rights as well. If he disrespected them, said anything derogatory then I could understand but saying that HE just doesn’t understand people being gay is his right to say and feel. That statement didn’t include the team, it was his personal opinion, he’s entitled to it just as anybody else, gay or straight. It’s like we are giving them all the rights and understanding but none of us have the same in return, These people are ridiculous!!! SMH!!! in disgust!!! Wow…
