DeAngelo Williams’ workload isn’t expected to increase

Carolina Panthers running back DeAngelo Williams has had a very disappointing season in 2012 and his carries aren’t expected to increase down the stretch.

Our sources are not expecting to see the Panthers’ coaching staff change course and give RB DeAngelo Williams more opportunities down the stretch. Williams is on pace for 139 touches, which would be the fewest he has had in a full season (he missed 10 games in 2010) since entering the league in 2006.

I wouldn’t be surprised if the Panthers end up trying to trade Williams in the offseason.
