Washington Redskins cornerback DeAngelo Hall was livid after last night’s loss to the Dallas Cowboys.
Hall felt frustrated with the three straight all out blitzes that defensive coordinator Jim Haslett drew up in the closing minutes of the game, since they never got to Tony Romo. The Blitz on third and long gave Cowboys receiver Dez Bryant plenty of time to get open.
“You ain’t supposed to have to [cover for that long], but [expletive] happens,” Hall said.
Hall was asked about the success the Redskins have had with the blitz.
“Yeah, but sooner or later, somebody is going [bleeping] figure it out,” he said. “You don’t have to be a [bleeping] rocket scientist to figure it out after a while.”
Hall was then asked if Haslett’s third and long call was the right one.
“You tell me,” Hall said. “The result was a first down.”
To top off the poor defensive play calling, Hall felt like the referee made a terrible call on the third and long conversion by the Cowboys that led to him getting flagged for grabbing Bryant’s face mask.
“That was a [bleeping] terrible call,” Hall said. “I told the ref he’s going to [bleeping] lose his job. I told the ref, ‘That might have been the worst call of the game.’ He’s going to get some demerit points for that call because that wasn’t no face-mask.”
Here’s the audio from Halls post game interview.

Dallas was given a gift ..the same gift they gave to the Jets in week 1 a win …no need to blitz on 3rd and 21 not with the receivers dallas had on the field bad call on hasslett as for the face mask he didnt grab it… refs make mistakes to .. Hall still got his game check he will be ok!!!!!lol
Umm…yes, he certainly did grab the facemask. Replay clearly shows Bryant’s head being turned by the grab. Maybe Hall should talk less smack and study more game film the week prior to an important NFC East division game next time. Just a suggestion.
