DeAngelo Hall on Richard Sherman: “I don’t think he does crack that Top 3″

deangelo hallRedskins cornerback DeAnelo Hall got into a Twitter argument with Seahawks cornerback Richard Sherman.

Hall called into a Washington D.C. CBS Radio show and explained what he really thinks about Sherman.

“I don’t think he does crack that Top 3″ Hall said, ranking corners Aqib Talib (Broncos), Patrick Peterson (Cardinals), and Darrelle Revis (Patriots) ahead of Sherman.

“I’ll take those  three guys against A.J. Green, Dez Bryant and Calvin Johnson, who [are] probably the top three receivers in the game right now, Hall said. “I’ll take those three corners on those three receivers.”

Hall continued.

“This kid seems to always get the ball when it’s thrown his way, but teams always seem to throw his way,” Hall said.

“When you’re at the top of your game, guys don’t throw your way,” he would say.

“When I was that guy, I went to Pro Bowls with 3 picks and 4 picks, because teams knew, ‘Heck, we don’t want to throw it his way. When we do, he picks it off.’ I mean I rarely got targeted in those days, but I still made the Pro Bowl,” Hall said. “So for this kid to be at 8 picks, and 7 picks and 6 – it just kind of blows my mind.”

It really just sounds like Hall is jealous about all of the attention Sherman gets as the NFL’s top corner. Does he also realize that teams throw at him all the time because he’s not a top corner himself? Probably not.

Dude needs to get his facts straight. Sherman lead the league with fewest targets and most interceptions. Basically about 10% of the time the ball was thrown to the man he was covering, Sherman came up with the ball.
