San Francisco 49ers safety Dashon Goldson will be a free agent once March 13th rolls around and he would love to re-sign with the 49ers.
“I think those guys are excited about me being there and I’m sure they want me back,” Goldson said. “They’ve expressed how much they want me back. I want to be back there. Like I said, if I’m not there, I’d be shocked.”
Goldson had a breakout season in 2011 with a career high 6 interceptions.
If the 49ers decide to place the franchise tag on Goldson, they would then have to pay him about $6.4 million for next season.
Whether Goldson is tagged or not, he’ll likely be back in San Francisco next season
