According to Darren Urban of AZCardinals.com, Cardinals linebacker Daryl Washington is hoping to meet with someone within the NFL in an attempt to get his four game suspension reduced for violating the league’s substance abuse policy.
Washington told Craig Morgan he will be in New York Monday in an attempt to talk to someone in the NFL in a quest to either reduce his four-game NFL suspension for violating the league’s substance abuse policy. Washington told Morgan he won’t have an audience with commissioner Roger Goodell, so it doesn’t seem likely anything is going to change. There are still no specifics about what happened for Washington to be suspended nor what he would argue to change anything. Obviously, on it’s surface, it seems like a Hail Mary at best.
