In an interview with the NFL Network that will air tonight at 7 PM, cornerback Darrelle Revis told Andrea Kramer that he’s disappointed that no one has given him any answers about the trade rumors that have been surrounding him this offseason.
“I was speechless; I tweeted it out I was speechless,” Revis said, per the New York Post. “I was speechless because I didn’t get a phone call. I know it’s a business – just call me; don’t have it lingering out there. I need answers and I’m not getting any. Just the fact that that was put out there instead of contacting your best player on the team. If that’s how you want to do business, then that’s fine.”
That was the only quote the network sent out, so it is unclear if Revis is speaking about the day the reports surfaced or if he still feels that way. New general manager John Idzik reached out to Revis shortly after the reports gained steam to clear the air.
No one should be shocked that the Jets aren’t valuing and respecting Revis enough to talk to him about the trade rumors that have floating around. This is the same organization that traded for Tim Tebow last year and gave Mark Sanchez an extension that ruined their current salary cap situation.
