New York Jets cornerback Darrelle Revis hung up on radio host Mike Francesa while doing an interview for his show on 660 WFAN in New York today.
Francesa wanted to know whether or not Revis was guilty of pass interference on his 100 yard interception return for a touchdown against the Miami Dolphins this past Monday night.
Francesa kept pressing Revis on the fact that he saw him pull on Dolphins receiver Brandon Marshall’s jersey. Then things quickly went south from there.
“I can say whatever I want to say,” said Revis.. “Did the ref throw the flag?”
Francesa replied, No he didn’t.
“Okay then!” said Revis. “I mean, this is the game, brother. What are you talking about?”
Francesa and Revis went back and forth for almost five minutes.
“I don’t care!” said Revis, annoyed. “I don’t care what everybody thinks! I don’t care what you think, I don’t care what the whole world thinks.”
“You’re good at interviewing,” he added. “I’m good at what I do. Just leave it at that!”
Then a member of the Jets public relations staff got involved and told Revis to hang up. And then everyone got to listen to a dial tone.
