According to Tony Pauline of DraftInsider.net, if Memphis defensive lineman Dontari Poe isn’t available by the time the Dallas Cowboys are on the clock with the 14th pick, they would then take Alabama safety Mark Barron.
There’s a good chance that Poe will be off the board by the time it’s the Cowboys’ turn. No matter what, I think the Cowboys should go with Barron. From what I’ve heard, Poe impressed a lot of people at the scouting combine, but his film isn’t quite as impressive.
In the end, the Cowboys also have a much bigger need at safety then they do on the defensive line.
