The Dallas Cowboys surprised everyone tonight by trading up in the first round of the NFL draft and taking LSU cornerback Morris Claiborne with the 6th overall pick.
The Cowboys are now equipped at the cornerback position to deal with receivers like Hakeem Nicks, DeSean Jackson and Pierre Garcon in the NFC East.
The Cowboys still need to address the safety position and could do so later on in the draft.
With the addition of Claiborne and Brandon Carr this offseason, I would expect the Cowboys to allow Mike Jenkins to walk in free agency after the 2012 season.
