It’s interesting that the Cowboys are hosting three free agents that they can’t afford to sign.
With just $102,000 in space under the 2013 salary cap of $123,000 the Cowboys are doing no more than window shopping.
According to a source, the visits should not be considered an indicator that deals are imminent with quarterback Tony Romo or linebacker Anthony Spencer to lower their cap number and free up salary room to sign free agents.
Nothing has changed regarding those negotiations.
But the visits are an indicator of the Cowboys interest in shoring up positions of concern at some point.
