According to the Dallas Morning News, the Cowboys claim quarterback Tony Romo is ahead of schedule after undergoing offseason back surgery.
“He is ahead of where we expected him to be,’’ Jones said.
The plan is for Romo to take part in organized team activities in at least a limited capacity, something he was unable to do last year after having a cyst removed from a different area of his back.
Those sessions begin April 21. Jones was asked if the quarterback has been cleared to throw.
“Is he doing the throwing motion?’’ Jones asked. “Yes.
“Is he out there throwing to receivers right now? No.’’
