Colts dump LaVon Brazill

The Indianapolis Colts have announced that they’ve cut wide receiver LaVon Brazil after he was recently suspended for at least a year by the NFL for violating their substance abuse policy.

The Indianapolis Colts today signed free agent wide receiver Aaron Burks and waived wide receiver LaVon Brazill.

Burks, 6-3, 205 pounds, was originally signed by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers as an undrafted free agent on May 12, 2014 before being waived on June 13. In four seasons at Boise State, he caught 47 passes for 743 yards and four touchdowns. As a senior in 2013, Burks posted career highs of 18 receptions and three touchdowns, while adding 309 receiving yards. As a junior in 2012, he played in all 13 games and totaled a career-high 319 receiving yards to go along with 17 receptions and his first career receiving touchdown.
