Cliff Avril "not getting a good vibe" about getting a new deal

Detroit Lions defensive end Cliff Avril told the Detroit Free-Press that he’s not getting a good feeling about getting an extension before Monday’s deadline.
“I’m hopeful, but I don’t know,” Avril told the Free Press. “I’m not getting a good vibe, let’s put it that way. But I’m hopeful.”
Avril says he hasn’t spoken to his agent on the possibility of him not getting a new deal.
“I haven’t talked to my agent past that point, honestly,” Avril said. “If we don’t get a deal done I’ll fly out to New York and figure something out from that point on.”
