Green Bay Packers linebacker Clay Matthews Jr. injured the same thumb that he broke back in early October during Sunday’s loss to the Steelers.
Matthews ended up leaving the field and never returned.
The Packers aren’t sure when Matthews will be able to get back if at all.
“I couldn’t give you a timeline,” said Packers head coach Mike McCarthy via ESPN.com. “but I think based off the history of what happened the first time, I’m told it’s similar to [a] repeat injury.”
