Chris Cooley tried to get a case of beer worked into his contract
Washington Redskins tight end Chris Cooley told the Sports Junkies on 106.7 The Fan in D.C. (via The Washington post) that he tried to get a case of beer worked into his contract.
“Literally, I have text correspondence trying to negotiate a case of beer into my contract. They wouldn’t do it. I wanted it in writing so much.”
I guess since this is likely Cooley’s last NFL contract, he was looking to get anything he can out of it.
Then again Cooley is only 30, maybe he’ll be able to resurrect his career.
