Washington Redskins tight end Chris Cooley says that the Skins’ six game winning streak has been the most exciting part of his NFL career so far.
“I think this run has been the most exciting part of my career,” Cooley said, per The Washington Post. “It’s been amazing seeing this team get the success that you work for every year. It’s hard when you’re not winning to come to work every week and keep doing the things you’re doing. It’s such a strange game because when you’re not winning it’s like every week is for naught. So the run we’ve had this year has made this so much fun.
“Everything that we’re working for, working together, has been in a positive way. It’s been in a winning way and a winning fashion. It makes it so much fun to be here. It makes it fun to be around the guys. I think that’s all you can ask for. And I think this team putting ourselves in a position to win is the only thing you can hope for as a team. There’s still a ton of work for us. And if we want to complete our goal, we have to continue to play a lot of good football. There is no opportunity for a letdown for us.”
It would be great to see a veteran like Cooley end up getting a Super Bowl ring before his career is over.
