With nothing to play for today, Andy Reid is deciding not to play most of his starters against the San Diego Chargers.
Already locked into the fifth seed, Reid prefers that most of his players go into the playoffs healthy, obviously. Among the inactive are running back Jamaal Charles, receiver Dwanye Bowe, linebacker Tamba Hali, linebacker Derrick Johnson, offensive tackle Branden Albert, and defensive tackle Dontari Poe.
The Chargers face a must-win against their AFC West foes and this is the best-case scenario for the team. They also need the Dolphins and the Ravens to lose their games to get into the playoffs.
