We reported yesterday that the Dolphins are interested in trading for Chiefs’ left tackle Brandon Albert.
According to ESPN’s John Clayton, the Chiefs have given Albert permission to meet with the Dolphins to try to work out a trade between both teams.
The Kansas City Chiefs have given the Miami Dolphins permission to talk to left tackle Branden Albert to help facilitate a trade for a second-round draft choice, a source said.
Albert, who lives in Miami, is expected to visit the Dolphins’ facility in the next couple of days for a physical. His agent, Ron Slavin, has received permission by the Chiefs to talk contract with the Dolphins but no other team.
With the Chiefs likely drafting a left tackle with the first pick in next weeks draft, they no longer need Albert and the Dolphins could use him now that Jake Long is gone.
