Chicago Bears beat San Diego Chargers 33-28

The Chicago Bears beat the San Diego Chargers 33-28 in tonight’s preseason game. Here are some takeaways from the game.

-The Bears’ first team offense beat the Chargers’ 17-0.

-Both teams were sloppy with the ball. There was six combined turnovers with four of them coming from San Diego.

-Chargers backup quarterback Charlie Whitehurst had a good game throwing two touchdowns to Mike Willie. Honestly anything would of been an improvement over his play last week.

-Chargers’ fans probably went through some PTSD by witnessing the horrid special teams play from the team. The Chargers gave up a punt block and consistently gave the Bears great field position on punt returns.

-Two Chargers’ receivers that stepped up were Keenan Allen and Mike Willie.

-The Bears’ defense really seems improved over last year.

The Bears’ backups almost coughed up the game. The game came down to a Hail Mary by QB Brad Sorensen, who overthrew the ball out of the endzone.
