Former NFL offensive coordinator Charlie Weis coached Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Brady Quinn when he was the head coach at Notre Dame. He feels like if he had the chance to coach Quinn in the NFL, they would’ve won a lot games.
“Go back and look at those numbers for the two years he played for me,” Weis told the Kansas City Star. “He was great. He wasn’t good. And I know if I had him as a quarterback, I would have felt very comfortable that I could have won no matter where we were.”
Maybe Weis is right, maybe he could have made Quinn a winner in the NFL. The problem is that we’ll likely never know.
