According to Jay Glazer of FOX Sports, former New York Giants linebacker Lawrence Taylor and his agent Mark Lepselter were told that actor Charlie Sheen was the winning bidder of his Super Bowl XXV championship ring that his son T.J. Taylor auctioned off last week.
Glazer did acknowledge that they don’t really know if Sheen was the buyer, but it would be interesting if he did. He’s surely be “winning.”
Update: Sheen has confirmed that he didn’t buy Taylor’s ring.

Charlie you just bought the Super Bowl ring of the greatest outside LB in NFL history,LT #56 was a player I made sure I watched everytime he played on TV.Dude changed the position to one of the most valuable today.Sad his kid chose money over a gift from dad.(Giants 20 Bills 19)one of the best title games ever to me.Norwood wide right at buzzer was the Jim Kelly and Thurman Thomas K-Gun offense that was unstoppable until they met the G-men D that ran 2 D-lineman that I’ve never seen since.40 +minutes sitting on the sidelines that day has to still eat at Kelly and mates their D couldn’t get them the ball and still had a chance with Norwood from the 49yd line, oops right by a foot, ring to LT and this story of son selling dad’s gift of love sold for money that will be gone before he has nothing but emtpy pockets
