The San Diego Chargers select outside linebacker Jeremiah Attaochu with the 50th overall pick in the NFL Draft.
The team originally held the 57th pick and had to trade up with the Dolphins to select Attaochu. The move will cost the Chargers their second-round pick and this year’s fourth-round pick.
For the second straight year, general manager Tom Telesco and the Chargers have traded up in the second round to draft their player. Last year it was Manti Te’o the traded a fourth-round pick to draft.
Attaochu will provide immediate help for the Chargers and will give the team the pass rush they’ve been missing for years.
