The San Diego Chargers have claimed defensive tackle Lawrence Guy. Guy was released by the Colts a day after he blocked a field goal that helped the team get a win over the Seattle Seahawks.
The Chargers badly need help along the defensive line. They are not getting the play from second year player Kendell Reyes that the team was expecting. Corey Liuget played well on Sunday night’s loss to the Oakland Raiders but was struggling in the prior games as well.
The U-T San Diego’s Michael Gehlken also reports that the team has signed offensive tackle Mike Remmers off the Buccaneer’s practice squad. There’s no secret the team is struggling with depth along the offensive line.
The Chargers released defensive end Jarius Wynn to make room for Guy on the roster. There’s no word on the corresponding move for Remmers.
