Champ Bailey expected to miss at least one game

Many coaches have a phrase that they assign to every injury, so as not to give too many details regarding the injuries severity. For John Fox that phrase is “day to day”. That may be bad news for CB Champ Bailey who’s injury Fox described as “week to week.”

Expect Bailey to miss the game Sunday against his former team, the Washington Redskins, and former Broncos coach Mike Shanahan. Then Bailey gets another week to heal during the bye week.

The hope is Bailey will return in time to play Game 9 at San Diego on Nov. 10. Bailey suffered a sprain to the bottom of his left foot during a preseason game at Seattle on Aug. 17. It forced him to miss the Broncos’ first five regular-season games.-DenverPost.com

Bailey displayed a look of disgust when he reinjured his foot against Indianapolis. You hope for a vested veteran like Bailey this isn’t injury that will limit the remainder of his career or cut it short.
